Organic World Congress 2014: Call for papers for scientific track

The next Organic World Congress will be held from 13-17 October 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey. Papers can be submitted by September 30, 2013.

In the scientific track of the congress (http://www.owc2014.org), for which the International Socitey of Organic Agriculture Reseawrch (ISOFA) is responsible,  researchers will present their results in organic research and the discussion will focus on three guiding questions:

How to bridge the gaps between
a) Poor and rich areas of the world,
b) Scientific knowledge and practice,
c) New and old technology.

A total of 24 scientific sessions will examine the following: systems, plant production, animal husbandry, socio-economics, processing, trade, and human nutrition research. Each session will have a maximum of three oral and no limit in poster presentations.

ISOFAR  invites researchers to submit their results as full papers between two and four pages for the above mentioned scientific sessions in English. The submission will be done via the organic data plattform orgprints.org.

If you are not registered with Organic Eprints yet, please do so via orgprints.org/cgi/register. After you have registered, you can login and submit your paper in the rubric "manage deposits" with the link "new item".
The submission will be evaluated in a review process organized by a scientific committee of the International Society of Organic Agricultrue Research (www.ISOFAR.org) and the local Turkish partner EGE University (www.ege.edu.tr).

Dates

  • Deadline for submission: 30 September 2013
  • Evaluation result to authors: 31 December 2013
  • Final paper submission: 31 January 2014
  • Final decision of the scientific committee and information about forseen session, if oral or poster: 31 March 2014
