Organic Eprints

Organic Eprints is an international open access archive for papers related to research in organic agriculture. It is a major initiative to improve information exchange among those interested in organic farming research. The archive contains full-text papers in electronic form together with bibliographic information, abstracts and other metadata. The archive has more than 10,000 entries (May 2010). A network of country editors is in charge of the quality control of the papers entered and for developing the archive further.

Organic Eprints was set up in 2003 by the Danish Research Centre for Organic Farming (DARCOF), now International Centre for Research in Organic Food Systems (ICROFS). Currently ICROFS, the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) as well as the the German Federal Organic and other Forms of Sustainable Farming Scheme,) are using the archive to document all their research results. Furthermore the partners of the ERA-NET project Core Organic are providing editors for the entries from their countries.

Conferences are using the archive for the submission of papers, and, after the conferences, to make the papers publically accessible.
